Natalia Ruiz Lara, a freshman at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas and representing Spain, won the women's open 5-kilometer race in 17:26.4 at the UC Riverside Invitational at the Ag-Ops Course in Riverside, Calif. Ruiz Lara helped UNLV place fourth overall with 113 points.
